Each year Pantone picks a “Color of the Year”; a symbolic color choice that reflects what the Pantone Color Institute believes is an expression of a global mood. This year’s color? #15-0343, affectionately known as “Greenery.”

Oh yes, we love Greenery. For us, this color evokes the evergreens of the Lowcountry, and the green of the marsh in summer. You probably won’t want to go all-in with this color – but as an accent, it can liven up neutrals, blend with blues and pop with reds and yellows. See if you can spot the Greenery-inspired accents in some of our favorite rooms:

Green stripes in this energetic modern art brighten up what would be an otherwise cool and neutral room. (See more of this Rhett’s Bluff house.)

Just a touch of greenery on this mantle emphasizes the green in the original oil above the fireplace, and looks right at home with the beautiful heron sculptures. Click here to get a sneak peek of our Modern Sullivan’s Island project.

There’s no shortage of green accents in this Modern Kiawah home. See more of this gorgeous home, including the delightfully green kitchen, on our portfolio page.

We think Greenery is the perfect Color of the Year. Whether your interior design style is coastal, nautical, modern, traditional or eclectic, a pop of green is always welcome in the Lowcountry.
