High Point Market Inspiration

May 12, 2017

Every spring and fall the MDI teams takes a field trip to High Point Market in North Carolina. It’s hard to describe this experience. It’s the largest furnishings trade show in the world. They say if you can’t find it at High Point Market, it probably doesn’t exist. There are 180 buildings, 11.5 million square feet of show space, 2,000 exhibitors, and 100+ countries represented. It’s crazy, wonderful, overwhelming, invigorating, and inspiring.

As we go through the exhibitors we each look for one or two things that are our favorite. It’s so hard to choose, but here are favorites from Alexis and Beth:

“I am inspired by the decoupage chest and the hand painted and carved wooden butterflies above.  I love the bold mix of color and pattern and the attention to detail and intricate artistry.” – Alexis

“My inspiration from market is this tufted occasional chair from Chaddock.  Not only is it stylish and amazingly comfortable, but it is covered in a beautiful chambray colored Crypton fabric which makes it also very durable.” – Beth

We had a great time at High Point Market last month. Be sure to follow us on Instagram to see what’s inspiring us on a daily basis.
