Spring Decor Ideas: 7 Refreshing Fabrics to Help Celebrate the Season

March 27, 2015

Spring has officially sprung, and in the design world that means it’s also time to freshen up the decor. If you’re spring-cleaning, you can do more than just dust the furniture and empty out the closet — you can also implement some spring decor ideas that may have come to mind during those cold winter days.

For one, you can get creative by painting a wall a new, light color.

Shop for a new vase you can fill with the season’s fresh flowers.

Or simply replace the fabric on your dining chairs or reupholster that worn out sofa.

We at MDI have found a few refreshing fabrics to spruce up your decor just in time for spring:

This pretty blue linear fabric with crosses is made by Sister Parish (Pocantico).

Here, the Spring Green fabric with geometric shapes is by Kathryn M Ireland (Tangier in Margarita).

This sample is so spring-like — the green cheetah fabric by Thomas Callaway Pattern Works (Marais Stipple in Vert).

We are plumb crazy about this plum fabric with white criss-cross from Ferrick Mason (Criss Cross in Amethyste).

Lighten up with this lovely fabric with bubble detail by China Seas (Melong Batik, Reverse in Light Turquoise on White).

We also love this classic coral fabric from LULU DK Ivy (in Salmon).

And of course, the birds — all of which are whimsical and remarkably right for this time of year — also by LULU DK.

What part of your house will you spruce up to celebrate Spring 2015?
