2025 Met Gala Style
May 21, 2025

The Met Gala is an iconic annual fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, as famous for its bold fashion moments as its celebration of art and culture. As designers, we look forward to this red-carpet event every year- and the 2025 Met Gala certainly delivered! This year’s event showcased the museum’s newest costume exhibit, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which celebrates fashion as a form of expression and identity within the Black community. The dress code, “Tailored For You,” hinted at a tailored suit look, and we loved witnessing the various interpretations!
All Glam
Gigi Hadid put a glam pinup twist on the night’s theme, with a floor length gold sequined ball gown that reflects the touch of glimmer in this Charleston condo’s floor length mirror.
Sophisticated Blues
Anna Wintour, the Met Gala’s long-standing organizer, rocked her signature chic look with a tailored blue coat dress layered over an embellished column gown. We love how this subtle shade of blue adds a layer of elegance, just like the guesthouse kitchen of this Charleston home.
Complementary Pastels
Sha’carri Richardson stood out from the sea of black and white suits in a butter-yellow gown layered over lavender lace. This dainty spring combo looks as pretty on her as it does in this Kiawah Island bedroom!
Pretty in Pink
Color-drenched in hot pink, Chappell Roan made her entrance in a tailored patchwork suit and matching dramatic makeup. She would be right at home in this bold and beautiful Mount Pleasant bedroom.
Coastal Inspiration
Serena Williams paired her elegant draping sea foam gown with a long quilted puffer cape, reminding us of this cozy coastal-inspired Kiawah Island bedroom.
Powerful Periwinkle
In a color reminiscent of Pantone’s 2022 Color of the Year, Tonya Lewis Lee’s custom tuxedo gown combined fine tailoring with feminine detailing for a look that is both graceful and powerful. We love this color splashed throughout this Charleston Vendue Range home.
Tailored for You Monochromatic Moments
Who says black and white has to be boring? This timeless color combo blends classic sophistication with modern style. We love how these celebrities put their own modern spin on this classic look.
Gabrielle Union & Dwayne Wade arrived in coordinating black and white looks, proving that monochrome is anything but boring. We love the perfect balance it creates in the kitchen of our Coastal Chic project.
On one end of the monochromatic spectrum, Zendaya rocked the classic tailored look in a chic, all-white suit, mirroring the clean look of this Kiawah Island bathroom.
Miranda Kerr represented the other end of the spectrum in a dazzling black gown. We love the moodiness the look creates in this Kiawah wet bar.
From creative spins on tailored suiting to flowing capes and dreamy color, the 2025 Met Gala red carpet delivered a wide range of fashion. Check out last year’s Met Gala looks for more fashion-inspired interiors!
