7 High Points at the the Spring 2015 High Point Market

April 24, 2015

One of our favorite times of year is when we at MDI all venture over to High Point, North Carolina for the twice-a-year furnishings industry trade show. With more than 70,000 in attendance, the spring 2015 High Point market is a huge gathering of designers, makers, and all sorts of exciting vendors. Here are a few things we loved about The International Home Furnishings Show.

Margaret:

I was intrigued by the classic lines of this Louis XVI styled chair, made by Global Views, and the modern acrylic material. Such a fun play of new material with an old design!

Alexis:

I loved the new collection from the Hable Sisters with Hickory Chair. It’s modern and eclectic but organic at the same time.

I think the exposed wood on the upholstery pieces is cool and different.

The quirky barstool with brass detailing and one brass leg is amazing!

Elisabeth:

The new barstool from Palecek particularly caught my eye. With its rattan pole frame, rattan peel weaving, and leather bindings, this espresso stool is classic Greek design.

Alex:

I loved the stainless steel frame/cubed shape and openness of the Dekker Chair from Bernhardt. I also thought the leather straps as arms were really interesting and unique! These combined elements made the chair sort of eclectic and contemporary…right up my alley!

Delta:

I liked the presence and wow factor that the Maya coffee table from Palecek would bring to an otherwise calm, neutral space.

The fall market is set for Oct.17-22, and we can’t wait to see what designs we’ll discover next! Which of these designs did you like best?
