April Showers Bring May Flowers: How to bring blossoms into your decor
May 24, 2015
What’s your favorite flower? Here at MDI, we love them all — from hydrangeas to wisteria to poppies. We also love to incorporate the beautiful colors of spring blossoms into our decor. Here are a few of our favorite pieces that blend May flowers with interesting design.
Elisabeth: Tulips
The tulip tree lamp from Stray Dog Designs doesn’t need a lot of TLC. Just display and enjoy. This beauty also comes in several shades, like chartreuse, aqua, and pink.
Alexis: Dahlia
The petal coffee table by Knoll takes outdoor dining to another level. Just seat one person per petal and let the retro party begin. Designed by Richard Schultz in 1960, the table’s aesthetic was inspired by Queen Anne’s Lace.
Liz: Poppies
From Osborne & Little we have this charming Arizona wallpaper covered in massive poppies and petals. We love its elegant subtlety in celebrating the lovely flower.
Alex: Hydrangea
The hydrangea wallpaper was originally designed by Lindsay P. Butterfield in 1896, fusing the works of Morris and Voysey to create this lush and pretty pattern of pink hydrangeas.
Delta: Wisteria
This whimsical wallpaper design by Anna French/Thibaut portrays wisteria in silver and gold on off-white. Part of the Glamour collection, this exquisite design is available in 10 different colorways.
Katelynn: Peonies
This Nest Peony Blanche Classic Candle won’t go unnoticed in your home. Fragrant as a fresh bouquet, the candle is created with peony blossoms, jasmine, magnolia, and lily.
Margaret: Lotus Flower
Currey and Company’s Grand Lotus Chandelier is handsomely finished in antiqued gold leaf. With a candelabra base, the chandelier is stunning yet simplistic.
