Decorative Hardware: Bird’s Charleston, SC Showroom

May 30, 2013

We were excited to celebrate last week as Bird Hardware’s Charleston, SC location made a move to Brigade Street. They were already up here with us in the “neck” but much like MDI, they saw the chance to make a move to a new space. This end of town is really starting to shape up. Bird Hardware is one of Charleston, SC’s most trusted sources “for high quality architectural hardware and luxury plumbing fixtures.” We have loved having them as one of our resources over the years. Selecting innovative and unique decorative hardware, plumbing and lighting for clients is a critical point in the building or renovation process. Often times, we just schedule a day and head to our local showrooms to knock out the selections. But today, we were at Bird to celebrate, not work!

One of the best parts of getting out to support our local vendors is that we tend to run into our favorite contractors! We happened upon Bob Fleming and Kim Williams of Classic Remodeling. As a design/build construction and renovation firm, we have enjoyed many successful projects with Bob and Kim. They are right up our alley, running projects in a fun and organized fashion.

Margaret enjoyed taking some time with Paul Golaszewski, Director: Boutiques and Direct for Waterworks. Believe it or not, he was on the search for Margaret given that his 12 year old daughter is a huge follower of our work on Houzz. What a small world!

While we haven’t done a project with Osprey Construction, Margaret talked shop with Doug James, one of their project managers (on the right), while John Wilson of Bird Hardware gave them the scoop on all of the new product displays.

It was a festive evening to kick off the new chapter of Charleston’s Bird Hardware. Three cheers to many collaborations in the future.
