Few things feel as connected to Charleston as sweetgrass baskets. The tradition came to South Carolina in the 17th century with enslaved West Africans brought to the colony to work on plantations. Early baskets were made of bullrush, but in the 1900s, basket weavers began making them out of sweetgrass, which allowed for more sophisticated designs.

Vendue Range Tour
One Vendue Range is one of Charleston’s loveliest addresses. Located in the historic French Quarter, residents have views of Waterfront Park and the harbor. We’re delighted to share our recent renovation project with you.
Dockside Home Tour
We have a unique project to share with you today. Dockside condominiums are one of Charleston’s most iconic properties. At 19 stories tall, Dockside is one of the few high-rise buildings in the Holy City. Built-in the early 1980s, the units offer incredible views of the harbor, downtown Charleston, and the Ravenel Bridge.
Color & Colorful Spaces
We’ve had a stretch of gray days in Charleston, and while our neutral color palette helps cool things off on hot days, a little bit of vibrant color goes a long way when things turn chilly. Today we’re revisiting some of our favorite colors & colorful spaces.
2nd Place ASID Award
We recently won a 2nd Place ASID Award for our Island Lifestyle project. This fun, colorful Kiawah Island vacation home quickly transitioned to a full-time residence as the owners loved the laid back lifestyle the island provided. Having space for their kids and plenty of visitors was very important for this sociable family.
An Award-Winning Home
Last month we were honored with four ASID awards for three of our recent homes. The ASID Excellence in Design Awards highlights projects about the Carolinas Chapter of ASID that successfully address client objectives, demonstrate creativity, and skillfully solve problems in interior design.
Home Tour: Marsh View
Our clients asked us to design their Kiawah Island marsh view vacation home with the natural beauty of the outdoors in mind. Taking inspiration from the colors of the marsh, ocean, and sky, we used a soft color palette of blues, spring greens of the marsh and oyster shell white. The palette is accentuated by warm woods, natural texture and metal.
