Coastal Interior Design
August 10, 2024
The South Carolina coastline is our favorite inspiration for easy breezy coastal interior design. From sandy hues to watery blues, bring the beautiful beaches of Kiawah into your home with thoughtful and intentional design. Follow along as we share some of our own personal favorite coastal spaces!
Bright and Bold
Blues and greens are naturally calming colors, allowing them to make a statement in coastal interior design without being too overwhelming. Walls, cabinets, furniture, and textiles are all fair game for these playful ocean hues! We love how these spaces incorporate some neutral furnishings to balance out the daring design.
Soft Ocean Hues
For a calmer approach, softer blues and sea glass hues offer a more tranquil alternative. We can almost hear the lapping waves just looking at this kitchen backsplash, while the bedroom and bathroom make us want to close our eyes and transport to a seaside spa.
Sandy Tones and Textures
Step out of the water and into the soft warm sand! Warm neutral tones can provide that beachy feel, especially when coastal elements are incorporated directly into the design. Consider pairing these colors with some watery hues for a more subtle approach to coastal design.
