Color & Colorful Spaces

Colorful-1

We’ve had a stretch of gray days in Charleston, and while our neutral color palette helps cool things off on hot days, a little bit of vibrant color goes a long way when things turn chilly. Today we’re revisiting some of our favorite colors & colorful spaces.

Bold Chartreuse

One of our favorite colorful projects is the Modern Kiawah home. The family who lives there have a wonderful collection of whimsical artworks, and they love eclectic design. We had a great time with this vibrant home. In the kitchen, we used a bold chartreuse as the backdrop for modern appliances and furnishings. The rest of the home has a more neutral backdrop, but we carried the bright green throughout with accessories. Co

Blue & Green

We used a soft blue in the laundry room of our Classic Cassique project, but amped up the color with navy and apple-green tiles on the floor. This has to be one of our favorite laundry rooms!

Indigo & Pink

Our Ion Eclectic project is a great example of how to use bold color to have some fun with a softer color palette. An indigo demi-lune table greets visitors in the entry and hints at the personality of the rest of the home. In the dining room, artwork introduces a range of pinks and yellows, and echos the blue table in the entry. The bold blues and blush pinks carry throughout. See the rest of this gorgeous home here.

Green Gold & Melon

While most of this Island Lifestyle home’s interiors are a restful neutral, this guest bedroom and bath get a shot of energy with green gold walls and contrasting melon lacquered furniture.  We carried shades of melon throughout the home in accessories and upholstery.
