FGI’s August Member’s Only Event At Margaret Donaldson Interiors-Charleston, SC
August 21, 2013
Margaret Donaldson Interiors was excited to host FGI Charleston‘s August member’s only event. With such a clever catchphrase as “Stylishly Sophisticated,” the evening was sure to be a success. For those of you who aren’t familiar with FGI, here is a snippet from their website that elaborates on the FGI mission:
“The Fashion Group International is a global, non-profit, professional organization with 5000 members in the fashion industry including apparel, accessories, beauty and home.
The FGI mission is to be the pre-eminent authority on the business of fashion and design and to help its members become more effective in their careers. To do this, FGI provides insights on major trends in person, online and in print; access to business professionals and a gateway to the influence fashion plays in the marketplace.”
In short, FGI seeks to be an international influence while also focusing to further local businesses. What could be better?! Margaret Donaldson Interiors strives to be a part of local initiatives such as FGI and Lowcountry Local First. Here are some pictures from our festive evening. Make sure to take note of all the great local businesses that were represented!
Margaret enjoys speaking with Archie Burkel, Founder and President of The Hat Ladies, LLC.
A powerhouse team in the back corner: Mariana Hay of Croghan’s Jewel Box, Ellen Berlin of Berlin’s for Women, Margaret and Archie Burkel. In the middle, we have another solid group of local professionals including Marshall Simon of Gwynn’s of Mt. Pleasant and Quentin Senise of Charleston Home and Design Magazine.
Rhett Outten of Croghan’s Jewel Box talks shop with Rosanna Krekel, Regional Director of FGI.
Alexis Lee Wilks of Margaret Donaldson Interiors talks with Krista Huff, Web Director of FGI.
Rosanna Krekel, Regional Director of FGI chats with Robbie Butt of Marketing Performance, LLC.
Others in attendance that we didn’t have a good photo of (or even a photo at all, for that matter) include, Neely Powell, Owner of Charleston Shoe Co. and Margaret Hanson, Jewelry Designer of Eco Librio, just to name a few. All in all, the evening was a success and we look forward to next month’s event. Cheers!
