Home Tour: Classic Kiawah

July 12, 2017

Influenced by the Arts and Crafts style, this classic Kiawah home has custom wood details everywhere. Because it has glorious views of the marsh and golf course, we used a coastal palette. This is an island home, so we made sure everything was low-maintenance and comfortable.

In the living room, upholstered and leather club chairs complete a cozy seating arrangement. The unique coffee table is both an ottoman and a handy place to set a drink.

Warm tones and cool blues continue in the open kitchen. A custom table makes a casual seating area for breakfast or coffee. Two-toned cabinets add visual interest and compliment the incredible granite counter.

The guest room is cool and cozy with furniture that flirts with mid-century modern.

The homeowner’s office has floor-to-ceiling built-ins and plenty of space for relaxing as well as serious business.

In the master bedroom, the combination of contemporary furnishings and coastal blue add up to a peaceful respite. Sliding doors lead to a private second-floor balcony. The bedroom also has a charming reading nook and built-in seat.

The master bath is a masterpiece with it’s his-and-hers sinks and cabinets, and massive walk-in shower room.

We love how this classic Kiawah Island home turned out – spacious but cozy, functional and welcoming with plenty of thoughtful details and character. Want to see more? Check out our portfolio page for more photos of this home and others.
