The “Sip & See” is MDI tradition. When one of our designers finishes a project, we cater a wine and cheese open house so the rest of our team can see the finished home and celebrate with the homeowners. It also allows Elizabeth, our accounting and business manager to get out of the office for once!

Today we’re sharing some photos from our most recent Sip & See at a gorgeous home on Kiawah Island. Margaret Donaldson and Alexis Wilks did the beautiful interior design on this project. It was recently featured in Charleston Home + Design, highlighting the custom dining table, the luxurious Blue Tides polished granite on the wet bar, and the unusual Dolce Vita leathered granite on the kitchen island.

The copper bar sink definitely drew some oohs and ahhs from the rest of the designers, as did the master carpentry in the amazing staircase. No doubt the kitchen steals the show in this home, with plenty of room for pro cooks to work their magic, and plenty of comfy spots for pro nibblers to linger after dessert.

For our soiree, we served a variety of sweet bites, cheese and crackers, olives, and of course – plenty of wine. The homeowners were more than pleased with the results, and Alexis and Margaret received a well-deserved toast for a job well done.
