Last year we shared our team’s favorite interiors for Netflix shows. Today we’re sharing the team’s favorite movies, shows, and documentaries to help you get through our safe-at-home time:

Documentaries

Free Solo – One of our favorite movies! A profile of rock climber Alex Honnold on his quest to free solo climb El Capitan, a 3,000 foot vertical rock formation in Yosemite Valley. (Disney +)

Tiger King – Reveals the bizarre underworld of big cat breeding. (Netflix)

Won’t You Be My Neighbor – Examines the life and legacy of beloved Fred Rogers. (Amazon Prime)

Family Friendly 

Magic for Humans – Magician Justin Willman hits the streets to baffle people with unbelievable illusions without camera tricks. (Netflix)

The Aquarium – Viewers go behind the scenes at the largest aquarium in the Western Hemisphere – Atlanta’s Georgia Aquarium. (Animal Planet)

The Zoo – Audiences go behind the scenes of the world-renowned Bronx Zoo. (Animal Planet)

Comedy & Drama

Good Girls – Two sisters and their best friend take control of their lives by holding up a local grocery stores. What could possibly go wrong?

The Durrells in Corfu – Based on a true story, this comedy drama is the story of a British family that decamps to the Greek Island of Corfu to start a new life. (Margaret loves this when she can’t sleep.) (Amazon Prime)

Drama 

How to Get Away With Murder – Legal thriller about a law professor and her students who get caught up in a murder plot. (Netflix)

Little Fires Everywhere – The story of a picture-perfect family and the mysterious mother and daughter who upend their lives. (Some of us are reading the book first!) (Hulu)

Ozark – Crime drama about a financial advisor who relocates his family from Chicago to the Ozarks to launder money for a Mexican drug cartel. (Netflix)

Unbelievable – Based on a true story, this miniseries follows two female detectives that must find out the truth about a horrible crime despite the victim’s inability to tell the truth. (Netflix)

Romance

Outlander – Set in the stunning Scottish Highlands, this historical drama follows a World War II nurse who is mysteriously transported to 1743 Scotland. After falling in love with a Scottish warrior, she has to choose between going back to her husband in the modern world and staying in the past. (Netflix) (Great books if you need a long series to read!)

Competition / Reality

Next in Fashion – Fashion designers team up to create looks that will work for people all over the world. (Netflix)

The Great British Baking Show – Twelve armature bakers compete in a contest that tests their skills. (Netflix)
