Meet our Studio Coordinator, Lauren Whetsell! A native of South Carolina, Lauren received her Associate’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management at Trident Technical College before kicking off her career at the Daniel Island Club, where she quickly discovered her love for hospitality and creativity.

During her time at Daniel Island Club, Lauren led the events department, planning corporate events, weddings, golf tournaments, member socials, and more. Planning large-scale, prestigious events, she developed an eye for detail, which carries over beautifully into the interior design world!

Lauren enjoys the camaraderie and working closely with the team here at MDI Luxury Design, as well as exploring all of our unique textiles. She brings her creativity and adaptability to everything she touches. We’re always grateful for her diligence! 

When she’s not in the studio, you can find her cooking and spending quality time with her family and friends.
