We’re thrilled to introduce Grace, one of our talented lead designers here at MDI! Originally from Athens, Georgia, she graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Furnishings and Interiors. After visiting Charleston with friends during college, she fell in love with the Lowcountry- and in 2015, she made it official by moving here. She’s still thrilled to call this beautiful place home.

With over ten years of experience, Grace has a knack for creating spaces that are both beautiful and totally functional. She loves starting with a blank canvas and turning it into a home tailored to the people living in it. She believes that a home should serve as the “backdrop” for people’s lives and memories. Meticulously balancing joy and inspiration with comfort and functionality is at the heart of everything she does.

What really lights her up about working at MDI is the collaboration and opportunities to teach and learn. She especially loves those first conversations with clients where the vision starts to take shape. Finding smart, thoughtful solutions to design challenges is where she truly shines!

When she’s not working, you’ll find Grace spending quality time with family and friends and continuing to explore the area, especially Mount Pleasant and Sullivan’s Island. And if you’re ever on Sullivan’s, be sure to stop by Goldbug and check out the local handmade jewelry. It’s one of Grace’s favorite spots!
