Behind the best interior designers in Charleston are the best dog helpers. At Margaret Donaldson Interiors, we love our dogs (and our clients’ dogs) so much that we have a dog-friendly studio. Of course you’ve met Margaret’s now famous furry-friend, Abby, and recently we wrote about Alex’s Labradoodle, Willow. There’s another important member of the team to introduce – please meet Rosie.
It’s no secret that Margaret Donaldson Interiors loves dogs. Did you know that more than half the households in Charleston, SC have at least one dog? It’s just one more thing that makes our city the best. Since her Houzz feature, Abby has been hogging the attention around the office, so we thought we’d introduce you to another of our fuzzy mascots, Willow.
The “Sip & See” is MDI tradition. When one of our designers finishes a project, we cater a wine and cheese open house so the rest of our team can see the finished home and celebrate with the homeowners. It also allows Elizabeth, our accounting and business manager to get out of the office for once!
The MDI Team recently finished a fun project at the Rhodes Boutique in West Ashley. The boutique is located in the South Windermere shopping center. Clients love it because it’s close to downtown and has plenty of free (!!!!) parking. The owner, Caroline Rhodes, buys what she loves and what she knows her customers will love.Read More
As much as we love Charleston, we believe that getting out of our comfort zones is the best way to find design inspiration. In February, MDI interior designer Alexis Wilks had a fantastic opportunity to travel through India and Nepal with family. Her stepfather founded an eye clinic in the area that serves the poor, and she was able to do a little humanitarian work as well as sightseeing. Read More
