MDI received a first place ASID award for this Kiawah vacation home. This was a fun project that allowed us to really cater to the homeowners and their family.

For this project, we were tasked with providing a family with teenagers a place to disconnect and create memories together. There is no shortage of gathering places in this home for the family to relax and connect. The open concept of kitchen, dining room, and living room provides ample space for the family to come together. The media room and screened porch are fun hangouts for the family to unwind and create memories.

Each bedroom was completely tailored to the family member who inhabits it. Equipped with a reading chair, small home office, and spa-like bathroom, the master bedroom was designed to serve as a retreat for the homeowners. 

We designed each of the teenagers’ bedrooms to fit their individual needs and personalities using a variety of patterns and textures, while keeping consistent with the neutral tones of the rest of the home.
