What could be better than pizza, craft beer and our friends down at Reclaimed DesignWorks Charleston, SC. Last Thursday, we joined them along with Coast Crust and Coastal Craft & Cru to enjoy the restored vintage trucks that now serve up incredible Neopolitan-style pizza, craft beer, wine and more deliciousness. To top it all off, Reclaimed DesignWorks did an incredible job with the refurbishment of the food trucks. These are not your ordinary food trucks.
Out and About
Charleston, SC Historical Renovation and Interior Design
Built in the 1880’s, 179 Rutledge Avenue is our latest historical renovation project. Margaret Donaldson Interiors is teaming up with Joe Schmidt of Evans and Schmidt Architects to transform Ashley Hall’s newest real estate acquisition into a space for small, intimate classes, round table discussions and school events/entertaining. Charleston, SC interior design often times involves exquisite historical properties.
Our Week In Charleston, SC Interior Design
Just wrapping up another great week of Charleston, SC interior design. Here are some of the highlights.
Daniel Island, SC Coastal Living Showhouse
Margaret Donaldson Interiors was delighted to attend an event on August 29 at the Coastal Living Showhouse on Daniel Island, SC. We enjoyed an evening of celebrating another interior design nod to the Charleston design community as we toasted our locals, Ginger Brewton and Circa Lighting along with some of our favorite vendor sponsors such as Sunbrella and Marvin Windows and Doors.
FGI’s August Member’s Only Event At Margaret Donaldson Interiors-Charleston, SC
Margaret Donaldson Interiors was excited to host FGI Charleston‘s August member’s only event. With such a clever catchphrase as “Stylishly Sophisticated,” the evening was sure to be a success. For those of you who aren’t familiar with FGI, here is a snippet from their website that elaborates on the FGI mission:
Charleston Designers, Atlanta Market – Part 2
Well, I guess it’s a good sign that it has taken a couple of weeks to get through all of our images. Lots of great new design inspiration has hit our idea boards here at MDI. So…we are just going to inundate you with the goodness. Let’s visit ADAC today. Charleston Designers often travel to ADAC or NYC to see new product.
Charleston Designers Explore Chicago
There is nothing like getting out of town to open your eyes to the world. We sometimes get into our Charleston routine and don’t look up from our desks. That is why MDI loves to road trip! Chicago’s architecture is not the only thing we enjoyed this past week while up at NeoCon. We enjoyed some of the big city’s more eccentric things. Well, they probably aren’t truly eccentric…
Decorative Hardware: Bird’s Charleston, SC Showroom
We were excited to celebrate last week as Bird Hardware’s Charleston, SC location made a move to Brigade Street. They were already up here with us in the “neck” but much like MDI, they saw the chance to make a move to a new space. This end of town is really starting to shape up. Bird Hardware is one of Charleston, SC’s most trusted sources “for high quality architectural hardware and luxury plumbing fixtures.”
10th Annual Charleston Antiques Show
We have finally popped up for air after busy weeks photographing new projects for our portfolio! We cannot wait to share the incredible images with you over the next months.
Celebrating Ferguson Enterprises
It was back in August that we first learned that our local Ferguson Enterprises Showroom was getting a new look. Margaret went to raid the warehouse (looking for a sink for our office guest bath) and Janet Wall, the showroom manager explained ‘why the mess.’
